This is a study of the houses east of my studio on the south side of Water Ave. beneath the Maple Street Bridge in Peaceful Valley. It was painted in the winter of 2013.The Maple Street Bridge casts a strong shadow on Water Ave. and its form dominates the scene for these houses.I started with a black undercoat.
